Building

Standing out and fitting in. Rowan is a nod to the Mission’s industrial past, yet it’s patterned after nothing seen before.

Stature

Concrete meets creativity. Rowan takes creative residences to an industrial core and then flips the narrative. Its 70 condominiums will offer residents floor-to-ceiling windows, becoming an integral part of the city. A cast-in-place concrete diagonal grid sets a tone for the building and is a nod to the neighborhood’s history. In a neighborhood that is truly industrial and urban, Rowan is both.

A UniqueDesign

PATTERNS & PILLARS

Cast-in-place concrete helps create the unique “W” pattern along with the pillars that line Rowan’s sides.

LET THE SUN SHINE IN

The floor-to-ceiling windows with high-performance glazing allow for natural light and incredible viewing opportunities.

A TOUCH OF STEEL

Corten steel planters develop rich textures as they age and will complement the building and the neighborhood.

IT’S IN THE DETAILS

A patterned, bonded-metal lobby door is enhanced with smooth Venetian-style stucco and black-diamond granite-style exterior stone.

Lobby

“Industrial” is not shorthand for “stark.” The lobby of Rowan puts steel and concrete to use in daring ways. The steel door is designed, the concrete floor etched. The light fixtures are graphic. It’s how industrial becomes creative.

GREEN GETAWAY

The terrace is completely landscaped with planters, a green wall, paving and trellises with festoon lighting.

Courtyard

Creative use of living space means creating a space to live. A second-floor courtyard provides Rowan residents a thoughtful, well-groomed and landscaped area for contemplation and relaxation. Raked pebbles, Corten steel planters, wood decking and boulders turn the 1,800-square-foot space into a journey of discovery.
